2 video ports means dual monitor capability?

if my video card have a dvi port and a vga port, does it mean that its got dual monitor capability?

    Actually yes, it has dual monitor capability.

    Usually they give you a DVI to VGA plug which you stick on to your DVI port. Then, you can plug two monitors and you can either clone it, or extend your desktops (Not recommended unless they’re the same model).

    Pretty much though, you just hook it up, go right click your Desktop and select properties, where you can go to advanced and select which monitor is primary, and all that stuff.

    No. It’s either one or the other. If you want dual monitor capability, you’ll need a video card with two vga ports and/or two dvi ports -OR- two video cards each with a VGA and/or DVI port.

    yes,you should have got a adapter with your card and this will enable the dual monitor support,most ati cards come bundled with these as long as dvi leads aswell,but i cannot see why people use dual monitors unless you have software designed for it
