Hey!
The NVIDIA 8 series is a bit outdated, try getting something from the newer 9 series or the brand new GTX series.
9 series card (Updated 8800GT): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150316&Tpk=XFX%209800gt
GTX Series (Great upper mid range card with a sweet price tag. It’ll give 2 times the performance of the 8800GT): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150361
If your minds set on the 8800GT, go for it. It’s a good card that’ll give good performance. Just a little old that’s all.

it’s a good video card but it depends on the price you’re getting it for. Other good video cards are the radeon 4800 series(4850,4870,4890) and from nvidia, the gtx260,gtx275,gtx285. All the ones I just said are noticeable better than an 8800gt so choose the one that fits your budget the best.
The last two years,YES. But now…tough luck man. Try getting a 9800 GTX+. Is Damn hell of a good card. And it’s affordable
